Two Shootouts in Two Hours Leave One Officer Dead and Several Injured
Los Santos — The city is reeling after a harrowing series of shootings that unfolded over the course of just two hours, leaving one officer dead and several others injured. Authorities are working to piece together the events that have shaken the community to its core.
The first incident occurred in the Vespucci area at postal 363, where officers engaged in a violent shootout with at least two gunmen. Chaos erupted as bullets flew, ultimately resulting in the tragic death of one officer on the scene. One of the gunmen was also injured but managed to escape.
Less than an hour later, another outbreak of violence shattered the uneasy calm on the city’s east side. Gunfire erupted along Popular Street at postal codes 138 and, moments later officers were ambushed at postal 163, marking the second officer-involved shooting of the evening. Multiple officers sustained injuries during the exchange, but they are expected to recover. The suspects involved in this incident have been apprehended and are currently receiving medical treatment for their injuries.
“This is a devastating night for our community and for our law enforcement family,” said a spokesperson for the Los Santos Police Department. “We are committed to bringing those responsible to justice and ensuring the safety of our citizens.”
