San Andreas-based rock group Iron Chain has struck a chord with their latest release, “Unspoken Tears,” a ballad that voices their support for suspended Blaine County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Chase Justice. The emotional lyrics delve into themes of betrayal, misunderstanding, and resilience, resonating deeply with Justice’s ongoing suspension saga.
Lead singer Ryder Steele expressed his dismay over the situation, stating, “We’ve been following Sgt. Justice’s career for years, and this whole suspension feels completely unjust. It’s shocking to see someone who has dedicated their life to serving the community be cast aside like this, without clarity or fairness.”
Steele also announced that all proceeds from the song’s sales will be donated either to Justice’s legal defense fund or to a charity of his choice. “We want to stand with him and ensure he has the resources to fight this battle,” Steele added. “Whether he uses the funds for legal fees or to support a cause close to his heart, we just want to help.”
“Unspoken Tears” takes listeners through a journey of confusion and heartbreak, painting a poignant picture of someone wronged by a system they trusted.
Ryder states that his favorite part of the song is its chorus:
Steele commented on the creative process behind the song: “The lyrics were written to reflect not just Sgt. Justice’s struggle, but anyone who’s ever been silenced or sidelined unfairly. It’s about standing up and finding your voice, even when the odds are against you.” The lyric “where’s my call” has been somewhat of a battle cry from Justice after claims he never received a call from BCSO Command following his on duty injury.
In a reaction from Sgt. Justice he stated, “This morning, my brother Vince told me to listen to the radio and I heard Iron Chain’s new song, Unspoken Tears. Hearing the story by DJ Clancy, I was moved beyond emotions. To hear Iron Chain, such a respected group of musicians write a song for me and others struggling has been moving. I truly hope to return and serve the residents of our great county and fine state soon!”
The track has quickly gained traction on local airwaves and streaming platforms, with many citizens of Blaine County expressing their support for Sgt. Justice. Fans have flooded Iron Chain’s social media with messages of solidarity, calling the song a rally for truth and justice.

Full Lyrics
Verse
Kicked out of the halls without a fight
No clue what went wrong just vanished in the night
Staring at the screen waiting for a clue
But silence is the friend nobody knew
Verse 2
Echoes of their whispers down the empty aisle
Painted me the villain but I’d walked a mile
Typed a hundred letters but I pressed no send
Now I’m just a name they can’t comprehend
Chorus
Where’s my call guess I’m too small
Unspoken tears let them fall
A shadow in a story they don’t see
Caught in a web they spun for me
Bridge
Left out like a note never played
Promises broken on a bed they made
Stitched up their tale with thread so thin
Locked out of a room I’d never been in
Verse 3
Wander through the days feeling so misplaced
Every passing second like a slap in the face
No justice in a world with a tear-stained lens
Why must the truth bend till it never mends
Chorus
Where’s my call guess I’m too small
Unspoken tears let them fall
A shadow in a story they don’t see
Caught in a web they spun for me
